Mac & Cheese

It seems to be her new favorite food! Bella has asked for it two weeks in a row now. “Mac and cheese, mom, ..please?” So, I have said yes on one condition, we make it from wholesome, organic ingredients. Here’s the recipe we used this week, and a picture of how it turned out. Bella was very pleased. 🙂

Bella has had a great week so far. Keeping up with her school work, and reading a lot of Julia Cook’s children’s books. I highly recommend them. Julia Cook focuses primarily on problem solving and self regulation skills for kids, and she does it in a style that is fun while getting the point across.

Alongside our reading adventures, Bella has been enjoying a couple of new toys that she earned through our “noodle system.” I am still looking for the right moment to write out that system so that others can try it.

Bella continues to draw expressive pictures of her Sylvanian Families friends like this one. I always love the emotion in their faces!

All is well in this moment. Gratefully breathing in the peace, and ready to welcome February with a big, open heart.

Wishing you all a peaceful, good week! xx

Often seen with a blank look on my face, or with my mouth hanging wide open in reaction to this existence. It is awful and beautiful. It is magic and mundane. It is messy and well kept. Everything running to one blessed shine of light so bright I sometimes forget that I'm human. I write to share my journey as a being who is actively caring for an autistic angel alongside my dharma of creating music, singing, and exploring the depths of the human voice.
